Special clear secondary coating applied after galvanizing provides added corrosion protection Western IMC is produced by a continuous weld-galvanizing method using the most modern mills and Hot Galvanizing process
 

  • Approved by Article 342 of the National Electric Code for wherever Rigid Metal Conduit is used. 
  • Meets the requirements of American National Standards Institute (ANSI) C80.6.
  • Meets the requirements of  UL 1242. and is listed by Underwriter's Laboratory
  • Requires approximately 33% less steel than conventional steel Rigid Conduit.
  • Larger inside diameter permits easier wire-pulling.
  • Threaded to be interchangeable with Rigid Conduit fittings and elbows.
  • Requires no change in installation procedures: bending, cutting, threading, and hanging devices remain standard.

To Specify Western IMC. include the following: Electrical Conductors shall be enclosed in Western Hot Zinc Coated. Intermediate Metal Conduit in accordance with the specifications of
the National Code Covering such conduit, and shall be listed by Underwriters Laboratories as manufactured by Western Tube & Conduit Corporation
